it’s not the equipment, it’s the eye.

i’m tired of seeing people spend thousands of dollars on camera equipment and instantly donning the ‘i am a professional photographer’ sash. i am a proponent that skill will always outshine the flashiest of gadgets. yes, there are cameras that offer functionality that basic point-and-shoots do not. these extras are great and can be used to photograph amazing images especially in unique environments. but having the equipment does not make you a professional. more importantly, you do not need the equipment to take amazing photos.

so this is a simple photo blog of images taken with cheap cameras. i will define cheap as any camera that is $200 or less. but there is always room for cheaper or not as cheap.

to be clear…
i do not consider myself a professional photographer.
i’m just a girl on a budget who relishes the feeling that can be captured in photographs.

this is what i’ve done. what can you do?
